“Apay” - ‘Our’. APAY Lanka was founded in 2024 by family members, Chris Latham, Saveera Latham and Mahie Sumathipala with the mission of bringing you all that is missed from Sri Lanka, back to the UK.  

 

Sri Lanka is home by birth to sisters Saveera and Mahie, and home to Chris through  life and love. Having spent over a decade away from Sri Lanka, this list is extensive and a feeling shared by many. After years of fulfilling countless requests to bring back home comforts for friends and family, it was clear this wasn’t an uncommon ask for others travelling back to Sri Lanka. APAY Lanka was therefore born - an online platform that not only brings you things you love and miss from Sri Lanka straight to your doorstep, but also a space which showcases and celebrates Lankan talents and crafts through art and handmade home goods. 

 

At APAY Lanka we prioritise supporting small businesses, artists and artisans and by purchasing products from our online store, we can provide even more opportunities in the future to give back to our local communities back home. All our products available online have been chosen because it has taken us back to a very special time and place or has brought us a sense of nostalgia and longing for our beautiful island home. Whether you’ve lived in Sri Lanka, travelled through or have another sort of connection to Sri Lanka, we hope it brings you the same.
